Installing Start-Stop Software on Windows Vista |
Installing the Start-Stop Universal or PowerPlay on Windows Vista should go smoothly. There is a minor error in the current Start-Stop Universal installer but it will not affect the program. When trying to choose a foot pedal you will get a runtime error due to Windows Vista not allowing unsigned device drivers. Follow the steps below to disable the security feature. You will then be able to choose a pedal and install its driver. |
First we need to open the Control Panel from the Start Menu.
In Control Panel click on User Accounts and Family Safety.
On this screen click on User Accounts.
On this screen click on Turn User Account Control on or off.
On this screen un-check the box to turn off User Account Control. You will need to restart your computer after this change is made.
